Album Description:
Well, this album was not as good as I expected it to be, really. (I expected quite a bit, though). It's got some really good songs, like Little Sister, Burn the Witch (my favorite), and This Lullaby. Some of the songs (I Never Came, for example) just start to sound repetitive after a while. Overall, I wouldn't recommend buying it, but if you can download it, I would definately do it.

I think I mentioned this before somewhere in the "what are you listening to right now?" thread, but Richard Cheese is a man who likes to perform covers of Hard Rock, alteritive, and heavy metal songs, with a few hip hop, rap, and even old 80's songs now and then.
But he performs them Lounge Style. Like, as in a hotel lounge, where you might think that the original lounge singer canceled, and they pulled this guys number at the last minute, and probably doing it for $25 and and two free drinks.
The Results are HILLARIOUS!!!

In The Girl is Mine he does the duet with Stephen Hawking (celebrity voice is impersonated), and it is a laugh riot.
Enter Sandman mixes it up with the fanfare from the very old Mr. Sandman song from the 40's.
I just like his version of Man in the Box. Sounds less depressing.
and in Do Me we get sort of an outtake where Mr. Cheese throws a VIOLENT tempertantrum.
This man is one of the funniest acts I have ever heard.

11. Lucky - 8
12. The Tourist - 9
Album Description:
I've been a fan of Radiohead for a while now, I have both Hail to the Theif and Pablo Honey, which were my favorite albums, but then I heard this. Lets' just say "Walking orgy of sound." It's that good. I can not recommend this any more than I am right now. BUY THIS RIGHT AWAY. As in now. Stop reading this, and go buy the album. I said quit reading this. Dammit, listen to me. C'mon, man, don't do this to me. Anyways...
The first song starts out with a cool violin (?) part, which leads into the song, and makes you go "Hey this song's pretty cool." Then comes the later part and you go "Hey this song's really good."
The second song, most likely my favorite, starts out with a killer guitar part, and makes you go "this is some awesome trippy stuff right here." Then comes the chorus (if you can call it that) and it blows you away. The harmony and melody and everything is just incredible. AND IT GETS BETTER. Oh man, there's this one part about halfway through the song that just makes you want to...I don't know. But it's mind-blowing, phantasmally ultimately orgasmically good. I don't know how to explain. And also, during the little chorus parts, you hear a little computer voice if you listen carefully, tying the whole album together. It's just really good.
The fourth song, simple as it is, is also incredible. It's just guitar, and vocal. Until the drums come in. Oh man, it's great. It's...perfect. That's the word I'm looking for.
Karma Police is another really good song, though not as incredibly mind blowing as the others. The end is the best part, and that part is pretty awesome. Yeah. Uh huh. Ok.
Fitter Happier is insane. It's that same computer voice as in Paranoid Android, except that's all there is. And some stuff in the backround. But it creeps you out. Or something.
Electioneering has more of a rock sound than the others, which is a welcome thing among the other songs. It keeps the Radiohead sound, and adds a little variety in the album, without completely going off the style. And it has a cowbell. How cool is that?
No Surprises starts out with what sounds like maybe harmonics on the guitar (if you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm sorry, I don't know any other way to explain it.) It's got a kinda happy sound, unlike the other songs on the album. Not that it's a sad album...but yeah.
Lucky is my least favorite song on the album...but it's still a GREAT song, with cool harmony (which is Radiohead's best thing, their insane awesome totally cool harmony).
And last, but not least (that would be Lucky) is the Tourist, a song that brings out your heart from the middle of your chest.
SO, overall, this is the epitemy of incredibleness. Like I said, it's perfect. You must get this album. I don't know what else to say.

17. 18 With A Bullet - Pete Wingfield - 9
Album Description:
Yeah, I have many soundtracks. But they're a good place to get good music you won't find anywhere else. From the numerous dialogue clips (my main complaint) to the Barbershop-quartet style 18 With a Bullet, to James Brown's The Boss, to the stoner song Plice & Thieves, this album has everything. I gave "Guns 4 a Show/Knives 4 a Pro" just because of the line "A little pain never hurt anybody...". Good times. Zorba the Greek is a great song, with it's incredible accelerando's. I Wanna Be Your Dog is a good rock song, which is a must on any album. Overall, it is definately a good album, but not neccessarily a must.

20. Avi's Declaration [Dialogue From Film] - 8
Album Description:
Packed with incredible songs, this soundtrack is almost as good as the movie. And that's saying something. It starts with Brad Pitt's Pikey accent, which is completely incomprehensible. Then it moves on to the Passacaglia "The Diamond", which is also seen in a few other movies (because it's an awesome song). Golden Brown is a great song, one of my favorites, because of it's dulcimer sound, and of course, it just being a great song. F*ckin' in the Bushes is good to rock out to, where Dreadlock Holiday's reggae style is good to...uh...relax to. Hava Nagila is redone pretty well, in my opinion (because none of this is really my opinion. Just kidding folks.) Overall, this album is full of stuff that many people will like, no matter your tastes. Unless you like rap. Then you don't deserve this music anyways

Breaking Benjamin is one of my favorite bands. One reason is because I just about like every song they've come out with. A lot of times I'll end up on liking 4 or 5 songs on a CD, which is disappointing.
We Are Not Along is the 2nd CD put out by Breaking Benjamin. I bought it straight out because I LOVED the first one - it still gets major play time in my disk player.
I first heard Breaking Benjamin almost 3 years ago when they came to town and opened up for Saliva. Fell in love with and bought their first disk.
So without further ado - here's a breakdown of their newest CD:

Album Description:
Well, if you like Heavy Metal, lots of screaming, etc., then here you go. The only problem with this album, is that all the songs pretty much sound the same. Of course, my favorite is Down with the Sickness, which me and my brother often mosh to in the car to get funny looks, but there are a couple other worthy songs on here too. I was very surprised when I heard the song "Shout" - completely different than their usual music, but somehow they turned it into heavy metal. Altogether, this album is worth listening to, but not buying.

Album Description:
This is another of my weird-yet-awesome albums. Actually, this actually is an album, on vinyl. I got the CD a little while ago, but it's much better on record. The album varies quite a bit, but still holds a central kinda-but-not-really blues theme overall. Soft Parade, a song in 4 sections, is my favorite. I didn't like Easy Ride because it seemed too country to me. Tell All the People has an awesome introduction, and it probably deserves a better score than I gave it. Shamans Blues is a good song, and it's actually like a blues song, so yeah. That's about all.

found this album by the whole word-of-mouth concept, my mates from other universities had heard it and brought it and they recommended it to me. then my mate in Exeter calls me up and says he's bought me a ticket to a gig they're playing in October down there, so i then went out and got hte album. and what can i say, it's awesome!
the band are a four piece (2 guitarists,, bassist, drummer) and theor music is inspired from the late 70s early 80s, instead of trying to imitate, they take the best parts of that generation of music and mix it with todays music, thus creating a stripped down, slightly punky, indie rock.
if you like thumping bass lines complemented with driving drum beats and elegent guitar cords, then i suggest you buy this album!

Album Description
No one here, except for Ramhar, will have ever heard of this band, because they're a local band here where I live. But that's beside the point. This is the best band I think I have ever heard. You have fun just listening to them. They make you want, no, need to sing along. It makes you utterly happy. From the incredible vocal harmonies in songs like We Could Work It Out and Murder 11 to the pure instrumental songs like Harlem Afternoon, Eine Kleine Vogel, and the purely percussion Stop Sign Sideways, this album is purely incredible. Murder 11 is the best modern song I have ever heard. Ever. Period. Some songs, like Telephone, are just too funny not to like (Telephone is about a guy who calls his girlfriend to sing her a song, and her roommate/friend person picks up). Also, James Rabbit is not afraid to use the dreaded Triple Meter (which is rarely used in modern rock, R&B, country, etc. these days), as shown in Hospital and Light Light Blue. Talking about Hospital, my second favorite song on this album, I am forced to mention the 9 minutes of pure awesomeness in this one song, which is in three completely interlocked parts. Overall, I think you know how much I like this album. If you feel compelled to listen to this incredible music, I can e-mail you a few choice samples.

11. 40' - 10
Album Description:
This is a good album if you like a lot of mediocrity. The songs are all "pretty good". Except the last two. Those are incredible. One thing I must mention is that Franz Ferdinand is a master of transitions, as exemplified in Take Me Out. Come On Home has an extremely good guitar part, which holds your attention throughout the song. 40' is a powerful song...about I don't know, but it's really good. The bass line is cool. All of Franz Ferdinand's songs have catchy guitar lines, and pretty good percussion parts as well. If you're looking for something a little different, but still pretty mainstream, this is the album to listen to.

10. Look to Your Orb for the Warning - 6
11. Du Hast - 6
12. Wake Up - 8.5
Album Description:
If you like Hard Rock, this is the album for you. With songs like Marilyn Manson's Rock is Dead (kinda contradictory, since it is a rock song), Dragula, My Own Summer, Du Hast (by Rammstein, a German metal band), and Wake Up, any Metal enthusiast will love this soundtrack. Wake Up is my favorite Hard Rock song on this album, because I feel that it is the most tasteful Rock song. My favorite song (as you can see) is Rob Dougal's Clubbed to Death, a purely instrumental (and effects) piece, with a kick-ass piano part. It is by no means, however, a Classical type song. Rob Zombie's Dragula is always good for some head-banging, where Mindfields is good for a little foreign feel (full of Pentatonic scales, and stuff like that). If you liked the Matrix, you will most likely like this soundtrack.

Album Description
For anyone who's ever heard Cake, you know how different they are. This album is the epitemy of this...strangeness. With the famous song, "The Distance", this album is already good, but when I listened to the whole album, I found many other songs that matched, if not exceeded, "The Distance". Friend Is a Four Letter Word has an incredible guitar part, it is only arpeggios, but it fits very well with the song. Daria uses the piano well, and nearly all their songs include my favorite instrument, the trumpet. Sad Songs and Waltzes (a sad song and a waltz) is a good song to end with, if not my favorite song on the album. The two cover songs, "I Will Survive" and "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps", are also well done, and worth listening to. Tracks 6, and 8 didn't really fit well with the album, and I didn't like them. If you like Country, you'll like She'll Come Back to Me, but I'm not a country fan myself, hence the 4 out of 10. All told, this is a typical Cake album, meaning pretty good, and definately worth listening to once or many more than that.
